GTA 6 RP questions

Can you roleplay in GTA 6?

Not at launch. GTA 6 comes out on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. GTA RP servers run on PC mods (FiveM), and neither a PC version of GTA 6 nor mod support has been announced.

Will FiveM work with GTA 6?

Nothing has been announced. Rockstar bought Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, in August 2023. Those platforms run on GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, and Cfx.re has described the partnership as being about them.

When is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version or a date. For comparison, GTA V reached PC about 19 months after its console launch (September 2013 to April 2015), and Red Dead Redemption 2 about a year after (October 2018 to November 2019).

Can you do GTA RP on PS5 or Xbox?

Not on community RP servers. They need FiveM, which only runs on PC. Console players can roleplay informally in GTA Online private sessions.

What happens to GTA V RP servers when GTA 6 comes out?

They keep running: FiveM runs on GTA V on PC, and GTA 6 doesn't change that. The chart on this page shows whether players drift away after launch, using every server on the FiveM list.

Should I start GTA RP now or wait for GTA 6?

If you have GTA V on PC, start now. GTA 6 roleplay servers can't exist until the game is on PC with mod support, and the communities you join today are the ones most likely to move over first.
