FiveM bans global or server, how long, and how to appeal

Banned on FiveM? First work out who banned you. A global ban comes from Cfx.re and locks your account out of every server. A server ban is one community's decision and only blocks that one.

Short answer

Read the message you get when you connect. If it says your account is globally banned from FiveM, Cfx.re issued it: wait out the time shown, or appeal through Cfx.re support if it's a mistake. If it names a server or shows its ban ID, that server banned you: appeal on its Discord. Nothing you install lifts either one.

If you have a global ban

Cfx.re's anti-cheat looks for programs that inject into the game. When it finds one, the account behind it is banned from FiveM and RedM, and the message shows how long for. According to Cfx.re's ban FAQ, that includes testing cheats on your own server.

1Write down what the message saysThe duration, and the ban ID if one is shown. You'll need both if you appeal.
2Cheated? Wait it outThe ban ends when the time shown runs out. Appeals are for bans you think are a mistake.
3Think it's a mistake? AppealCfx.re says outside programs can interfere with FiveM and cause a false ban. Use the official appeal, say what was running on your PC, and appeal once.
4Don't try to get around itNew accounts, 'spoofers' and paid unban services break Cfx.re's rules and can earn you a fresh ban. Cfx.re has also warned about malware posing as FiveM fixes.

If a server banned you

Each server runs its own rules and its own ban list, usually with txAdmin. The screen you see when you're turned away gives the reason, who banned you, when it ends and a ban ID. txAdmin's default message points you to the server's Discord to appeal.

To appeal: join that server's Discord, find the appeal or ticket channel, and include your ban ID. Say what happened in a few honest sentences. Send one appeal, then wait. Find any server's Discord on its page here, or on the GTA RP Discord list.

A server ban doesn't follow you to other servers, with one exception: some servers share a third-party anti-cheat that bans across every server using it. Appeal those with the server or the anti-cheat's support.
