Is it free, and do I need a key?

Free, no key, no sign-up. The condition is a visible link to rplist.gg wherever the data is shown; the response tells you so in its attribution field.

How fresh is the data?

Servers are counted from the public Cfx.re list every 10 minutes. Responses are cached at the edge for 5 minutes, so polling faster than that returns the same answer; every response carries generatedAt.

Is there a rate limit?

120 requests a minute per IP, which a normal bot, site or dashboard never reaches. If you need more, email hello@rplist.gg with what you're building.

Can I get more history?

The server endpoint has 7 days of hourly averages and stats has 30 whole days of the daily record. Anything longer, ask; the record goes back to October 2026.

Will the format change?

/api/v1 stays. Fields get added, never renamed or removed. A v2, if there is one, is announced on this page with v1 kept running.

Can I use it in something I sell?

Yes, with the link. What you can't do is present the ranking as your own or remove the attribution. Owners can show their own server's numbers anywhere, link or not.

Where do the numbers come from?

Every 10 minutes we read the list that FiveM and RedM servers publish to Cfx.re, the same one the game's server browser shows. Names, tags, icons and links are what the owner put in server.cfg.

Base URL https://rplist.gg/api/v1. GET only. Every response has generatedAt (when the servers were counted) and attribution. Errors come back as { error: { code, message } } with a 400, 404 or 503.

Filters for /servers

What a server looks like

id, name, description, url, join: The join code, the owner's name and description (colour codes stripped), the rplist page, the cfx.re join link.
players.now, max, peak, avg7d, change24h: Online now, the cap, the recorded peak, the 7-day hourly average (null under 3 days of history), % change against the same hour yesterday.
rank.overall, inLanguage, languageTotal: Position among servers with players in its game, and among those in its language. null when nobody is on.
language, locale, framework, whitelisted, edition, build: Language code and the owner's locale, framework key (other = custom), whitelist, FiveM client (GTA only), game build.
tags: The owner's tags, up to 15.
links.discord, website, icon, card: The owner's Discord invite and website when set, the server icon, and the live share card (PNG, 1200×630).

The single-server endpoint adds history (hourly averages for 7 days, oldest first, with the from and to times), community (the Discord's member and online counts when the owner published an invite) and offlineSince when the server has dropped off the list.

The deal

Free, for any project, commercial or not. No key, no sign-up, no quota a normal site, bot or dashboard will hit (120 requests a minute per IP).
Show the link. Wherever the numbers appear, “Data from rplist.gg” linking to rplist.gg, or a link to the server's page. Owners showing their own server's numbers are exempt.
Don't present the ranking as your own, re-sell the data as a list, or strip the attribution. Sites that do may be cut off.
Cache on your side too. The counts change every 10 minutes; a request every 5 minutes per view you render is plenty. Responses are already cached at the edge for 5 minutes.
v1 is stable: fields are added, never renamed or removed. Breaking changes would be a v2, announced here, with v1 kept running.
